Hello,
I went out to a Italian restaurant with a couple of friends the other night and had a great time. I wanted to show my mom where I went since she's always looking for new places, so I pushed up the menu online. I was showing her what we ordered, and as I was looking at the ingredients for one of the appetizers - stuffed mushrooms - I noticed that it was cooked in white wine chicken broth. Now, one of my fellow diners is a vegetarian (who is contemplating becoming vegan). We asked the waiter if there was any meat in the mushrooms, and he replied no. Since the menu was family syle, and pre ordered my friend had no way of knowing what was actually in the dish. I know that he will not eat certain soups if they are made with beef or chicken stock. I guess that is something you have to deal with if you have a special diet, but should the waiter have known what was in it? More importantly, should I mention this to my friend?
Please help
I did not find the right solution from the internet.
