I asked my Bekkius rabbi an he told me that because i learn torah the most of the day i won't harm me. but who isn't learning so much Torah- it might harm him. Because that the Rabbi Tzvi Israel Tau Shalit''a's schools (from 1th to 8th grade) don't teaching English.
What do you think?
and he is speaking English from birth. I don't think that makes him less religious
and when you speak English a lot, you start to think like Americans when you speak English. so it's not the same as learning in Hebrew...

It's just that younger kids should learn much Torah as possible.
So it's not anti-English, more like pro-Torah...
But I never really asked about it.
The major reason is' as someone told up, is the culture that comes with this language. And it makes you think more 'GOY' and less Jew...
I must tell that the Rav Rau Shlit"a encourage English learn at higher ages, because it may be useful for explanation abroad about Israel.

Sometimes I feel that when I lean Torah in English, it doesn't sound like real Judaism. It feels like somethings external to the Torah and less deep...
Language comes with culture, and this culture is excatly the opposite from the Torah.
After some years at a Yeshiva english won't harm you anymore
It's more about with what you learn the language,
and with which literature / content / English speaking friends you practice.
Is it from movies? simple English books with stories about animals?
Maybe even books written by Haredi jews from London or Brooklyn?
How much the Rebbe or R. Moshe shared the same culture and values
with some American movie star or congressman?
Their English was quite good, however.
